The Sewer Thermal Energy Network (STEN) Announces Noventa Becomes Network’s Newest Member

STEN is pleased to announce that Noventa Energy (Noventa) has been welcomed as the newest member of our network. Noventa offers end-to-end services to drive the green reinvention of commercial, residential, and institutional space in our communities, by harnessing the thermal energy in wastewater

Noventa, a leading provider of decarbonized heating and cooling solutions, has commissioned the world’s largest raw wastewater energy transfer system at Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto, Canada; providing the hospital with 10MW of heating and 9MW of cooling.

“As a mutual benefit organization, STEN is proud to have such a capable service provider join the ranks of membership. These kinds of members offer the whole membership access to more resources”, said Paul Kohl, Chair of the STEN Board of Directors. “As our membership grows, so does our advocacy”.

“We are happy to announce our membership in STEN and we look forward to working with the management team and other STEN members to promote the economic and environmental benefits of wastewater energy.  As the go-to source of empirical data, technical information and anecdotal evidence, STEN plays a vital role in our collective efforts to establish wastewater energy as a viable option to decarbonize our communities’’, said Dennis Fotinos, CEO and Founder, Noventa.

The addition of Noventa will strengthen STEN’s ability to promote sustainable energy solutions. The Sewer Thermal Energy Network is increasingly prepared to contribute to major improvements in sustainable urban development, leveraging advanced technologies and industry insights to drive the adoption of heat recycling around the world. With each new network member, we are advancing our goal of transforming urban heating and cooling systems, showcasing the power of collaborative innovation in making a tangible environmental impact.
